A common symbol that means " the link leads to another site"

I write documentation for a software product.

I want to separate the links leading to another site from the links inside the same one.

On Wikipedia, there is a special picture that denotes such links. But this is their own decision. Is there a general and universal? I suspect that there is some Unicode character, but so far I haven't found anything better than .

Apparently, there is no approved (and, therefore, in some way "generally accepted") character for external links in unicode.

The sentence Proposal to Encode an External Link Sign, as far as I understand, is still just a sentence.

By the way, y TEX - nologov on this occasion, of course, has its own options.
