Calculation of derivatives in Java

Hello, Good Morning.

I'm here asking for a light for a problem I have, my programming teacher asked us to make a code that calculates the derivative of a function in java, but I'm without a north to start the code, could anyone give a light?

I've researched and even seen some codes, but they don't meet the requirements the teacher asked for. Thank you all right now.
