How do I use my macbook as a monitor?

I have two macs available, one 16-inch and one 13-inch. I want to use the 13-inch as a third-party screen for the first one. Basically, the network provides recommendations and tips on how to connect a third-party monitor to a mac: via hdmi and usb-c, everything is simple there. The query 'How to use macbook as external monitor for another macbook' gave an article https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/mac/second-screen-mac-3621421/#:~:text=Open%20System%20Preferences%20%3E%20Displays.,into%20the%20arrangement%20you%20require.. I connected the macs to each other via usb-type-c, but they do not see each other - that is, I do not see the list of connected devices in the monitors. Has anyone faced such a task and how did you cope with it?

You can't do that. The MacBook cannot be used as an external monitor – this feature is only available for the iMac and is called Target Display Mode.
