The GRUB console starts after installing Debian
Installed Debian 10 (10.3) on a laptop with UEFI/GPT
. But the system does not start.
Before that, I created a boot image on a USB drive in ISO
mode with the help of Rufus
. During the installation of the system, I create a partition EFI
and encrypt, covering LVM
, the remaining space on the disk.
Note: I found that the installer offers to select the disk to install GRUB
in MBR/BIOS
mode, but in my case - or always in UEFI
- this does not happen.
Note 2: in the laptop has an NVME drive installed
Note 3: The ls
command in GRUB outputs:(proc) (hd0) (hd0, gpt2) (hd0, gpt1)
. All disks except (proc)
have the same size.
Updated: created a flash drive in MBR mode (BIOS/UEFI
) and reinstalled the system. The problem persisted, but the (hd0, gp1)
directory with the debian files appeared in efi
.

The same question with a more detailed description and some - apparently correct-considerations about the source of the problem.
It turned out that the fact is that the /boot
partition is encrypted, and the bootloader simply cannot start the kernel.
Solution: During disk partitioning, in addition to the EFI
partition, you need to create /boot
.
