The touchpad on the laptop does not turn off

Good time of day. ASUS N53SM laptop, Windows 7 OS. The touchpad does not turn off, I tried all sorts of methods:

  1. Use the Fn + keyboard shortcuts... I tried all the letters of the keyboard.

  2. I deleted the i8042 driver, so no, when starting the OS, it was restored independently.

  3. In the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\i8042prt I tried to change the values of variables in all nested sections, and after restarting the laptop - to no avail.

  4. On I read in English forums that the driver Synaptics can enable/disable the touchpad, but it is not installed: Произошла ошибка. Устройство Synaptics не найдено..

What other options are there? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Downloaded the drivers http://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers/asus/laptops-desktops/n53sm/1353, they came up. After installing them and restarting the OS, go to the Control Panel -> Mouse -> Touchpad and check the box "Disable when connecting an external USB mouse".
