What is Backlog?

I was Reading about the term backlog, but I didn't quite understand what it would be about Scrum. Because, according to this Site, there are some variations of Backlog, and it seemed to me to be associated with Scrum. These variations would be Product Backlog and Sprint backlog, and that made me even more confused about Backlog.

Doubts

  1. what is backlog in relation to Scrum?
  2. what is Product Backlog?
  3. What Is Sprint Backlog?
  4. what is the influence of the Backlog in relation to a project in which it is using the Scrum?

What is backlog in relation to Scrum?

Backlog is a list of what has to be done. I'm referring to the definition without relating to Scrum.

What is Product Backlog?

Product backlog is a list of items to be done to build a product. This list is maintained by the Product Owner and is the basis for prioritizing iteration schedules, or sprints.

What Is Sprint Backlog?

Once items from the product backlog are prioritized, the Sprint backlog is generated and then the team should focus on these requirements during this iteration.

What is the influence of the Backlog in relation to a project in which it is using the Scrum?

The Backlog influences the flow of activities and priorities that the team must meet since this must be aligned with the needs of the client, in all sprints.
